These natural mineral clay can be used directly after opening the bag. Simply knead the clay to evenly distribute moisture, making it uniformly soft and hard. Add water if the clay is too dry, or let it dry out a bit if it's too wet, similar to kneading dough. Regularly replenish water during and after the sculpting process to maintain the clay's workability and prevent it from drying out and cracking. As the clay is very fragile before firing, move finished pieces to a wooden drying board and avoid touching them. Place soft materials like wet newspapers under the clay to prevent cracking as it dries, since the clay will shrink. These practices should help you maintain your clay in optimal condition for pottery and sculpting.

Place the clay block in a bag to prevent moisture loss and store it in a cool, shaded area. An old refrigerator can be a good option. Regularly check the clay's moisture. If it starts to dry out, spray it with water and wrap it in a plastic bag. If the clay becomes dry, wrap it in a wet towel for a few days to soften it. Alternatively, make small holes in the bag and submerge it in water until it reaches the desired consistency. If the clay is too dry, break it into smaller pieces, let it dry completely, and then rehydrate it. Mold on clay is normal and can improve its plasticity and workability. It doesn't affect the firing process.
