Black gesso creates a flexible matte finish when priming your painting surfaces, adding dramatic contrast and effects that regular gesso cannot achieve. This gesso provides a slightly toothed surface, allowing your acrylic and oil paints to settle well onto your painting surfaces. Each coating of gesso may also be sanded to improve the overall smoothness of the texture.

Note - Suitable for a variety of surfaces such as: canvas, paper, board and other semi-porous surfaces - 2-3 thin coats of gesso is recommended to be used for each time. The amount of gesso used may be dependent on the texture required in each painting - May be diluted with water for a change in texture
