Liquitex Slow Dri Medium 118ml

Liquitex Slow Dri Medium extends the drying time of acrylic colors and mediums by up to 40%, allowing more time for blending, layering, and detailed work. It increases transparency while extending color volume without affecting acrylic stability. The medium helps create softer edges, smoother color transitions, and improved blends. It also lowers the viscosity of heavier body paints for better flow and enhances surface gloss, color depth, and transparency.

For best results, mix Slow Dri Medium into acrylic color or medium as needed to achieve your desired viscosity and transparency. The more medium added, the thinner and more transparent the paint becomes. It can be diluted with up to 25% distilled water for additional flow. Stir gently to avoid creating foam; if bubbles appear, allow the mixture to sit until they dissipate. When working over extended periods, mix it directly into paint on the palette to keep colors fresh and help prevent skinning. The medium appears semi opaque when wet and dries transparent.
