Liquitex Slow Dri Fluid Retarder 118ml

Liquitex Slow-Dri Fluid Retarder extends the drying time of acrylic colors and mediums by up to 40%, allowing more time for blending and detailed work without affecting color opacity. It maintains the same level of transparency while lowering viscosity, making paint smoother and easier to work with. The formula is especially useful in dry or hot climates and is fully intermixable with all Liquitex acrylic products.

For best results, start by adding up to 25% Slow-Dri Fluid Retarder to your acrylic color or medium, then stir slowly until thoroughly mixed. If working over an extended period, mix it directly into paint on the palette to help keep the color fresh and prevent skinning. Because Slow-Dri is an additive and contains no acrylic binders, do not exceed 25% of the total mixture and do not combine it with other additives, as excessive amounts can weaken the acrylic film and leave it sticky or prone to shrinkage. Use only with acrylic-based media and avoid mixing it with non-acrylic products.
