Liquitex Matte Medium 118ml

Liquitex Matte Medium gives acrylic paints a matte finish while increasing color depth and transparency. It reduces surface gloss and lowers the viscosity of heavier body paints, improving flow and making them easier to work with. The medium extends color volume without affecting acrylic stability and helps maintain paint adhesion, durability, and archival quality. It can also be used for a variety of painting and mixed media applications where a non reflective finish is desired.

For best results, mix Matte Medium into acrylic color as needed to achieve your desired viscosity and transparency. The more medium added, the thinner and more transparent the paint becomes. It can be diluted with up to 25% distilled water for additional flow. Stir gently to avoid creating foam; if bubbles appear, allow the mixture to sit until they dissipate. The medium appears semi opaque when wet and dries transparent. To create a custom satin fluid medium, mix Matte Medium with Gloss Medium in your preferred ratio.
