Liquitex Glazing Medium 118ml

Liquitex Glazing Medium increases color depth, transparency, and surface gloss, making it ideal for creating rich glazed effects and luminous layers of color. It dries quickly for rapid layering, lowers viscosity to improve flow, and helps minimize visible brush strokes for a smoother finish. The medium extends color volume without affecting acrylic stability and maintains paint adhesion, durability, and archival quality.

For best results, use Glazing Medium with transparent or semi transparent colors to create rich glaze effects. If additional working time is needed, mix with Slow Dri Medium or Slow Dri Fluid Additive. The medium can be diluted with up to 25% distilled water for enhanced flow. Mix as much as desired into acrylic color to achieve the preferred viscosity and transparency; the more medium added, the thinner and more transparent the paint becomes. Stir gently to avoid creating foam, and if bubbles appear, allow the mixture to sit until they disappear. Apply to dry painted areas to modify coloration while preserving underlying details. Color may appear lighter when wet but will return to its original intensity once dry.
