Liquitex Fabric Medium 118ml

Liquitex Fabric Medium enhances the performance of acrylic colors on textiles and unprimed canvas by improving adhesion, color penetration, flexibility, and workability. It promotes smoother blending and a consistently even application while helping to control color bleeding and reduce the stiffness of dried paint. Once dry, the painted fabric remains flexible and durable, and can be safely machine- or hand-washed.

For best results, mix Liquitex Fabric Medium with Soft Body Acrylic in a 1:1 ratio, or add more medium when using Heavy Body Acrylic to achieve the desired consistency. For watercolor-like effects, use a mixture of 5 parts medium to 1 part Soft Body Acrylic. Stir gently to avoid creating foam; if bubbles appear, allow the mixture to sit until they rise and dissipate. Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or similar tool in thin layers to prevent cracking. The medium can also be added directly to textiles while the paint is still wet to blend colors smoothly, and no ironing is required to set the paint.
