Liquitex Airbrush Medium adjusts colors and mediums to a water-like consistency for airbrush application. It is pre-filtered and pre-reduced to thin all consistencies of acrylic paint and mediums for spray techniques, helping to reduce airbrush clogging and paint build-up around the nozzle. It also increases transparency, makes paint behave more like a watercolor, wash, or stain, and mixes well with other mediums to modify body and handling characteristics.

For best results, start by mixing Liquitex Airbrush Medium in a 1:1 ratio with Soft Body Acrylic or Acrylic Ink, then adjust the amount as needed since pigment size and concentration vary between colors. The ideal ratio will also depend on your airbrush nozzle size and spraying pressure, so experimentation is recommended. Stir gently until fully blended, and if bubbles appear, allow the mixture to sit until they dissipate. When using with Heavy Body Acrylic, strain the mixture after mixing to remove any undissolved particles. Clean the airbrush immediately after use before the acrylic dries.
